I found Shan Cunningham Photography on the Knot and was initially drawn to this company because of the reasonable prices and beautiful photographs on their website. In being a diligent bride, I contacted a few other photographers and set up a day of "auditions." My MOH was supposed to be the bad cop to my good cop as we interviewed photographers, but half way through our meeting with Shannon, I hear her excitedly telling Shannon all of the wedding plans. I look over and she's pulling the Save the Dates out of her purse to show Shannon and then she goes into details about the wedding band; what a horrible bad cop! But my MOH and I were on the same mind thought. It was important for me to find a photographer who I would enjoy spending time with (since they are with you during the entire wedding!) and Shannon was composed and professional, but also fun and I genuinely enjoyed our conversation. A few months later we did an engagement photo session and Shannon did an amazing job. The pics were cute, creative and artistic. Plus she made us look good (not an easy task!). At the wedding, Shannon kept us on a time line, which made the caterer and the venue owner VERY happy, AND got every shot that we had discussed beforehand (plus about 500 more). She and her husband were constantly walking around, taking pics, and got so many good ones for us to choose from. Shannon is knowledgeable about lighting and all sorts of techy photography stuff, which made the quality of the pictures really evident. I 100% recommend Shan Cunningham Photography!
